Welcome to R. Paul Krey Elementary School and the 2024-2025 school year.

Krey is located in the southwest corner of Brentwood, California on Crawford Drive. We are one of nine elementary schools in the Brentwood Union School District and opened in July 2002 with students from transitional kindergarten through fifth grade. Brentwood has continued to be a growing area with Krey being highly impacted by this growth. Our enrollment for this school year will hover around 840 students. Our diversity of language, culture, and experience is celebrated and helps shape our students into the leaders of the future.

At R. Paul Krey Elementary School students, parents, staff and the community work together to ensure that each student receives a rigorous, comprehensive, balanced and integrated educational program in a safe and caring environment. All children have the opportunity to develop their ability to think critically, solve problems, communicate effectively, work independently and collaboratively, take risks, make decisions, be creative and help others. With students as our priority, the staff will continuously reflect on our teaching practices, share ideas and concerns honestly, communicate regularly with parents and the community, and model a lifelong joy of learning through our own personal and professional growth.
